Event Overview: Jonalyn Carver of Blossom Lane Farm and Julia Keel of Full Keel Farm are technically in the same growing zone and they farm in the same state. However, their individual microclimates ensure that they have different farm operations. Differences in growing conditions affect first and last frost dates, nighttime temperatures, seeding and planting timing, crop selections, when Jonalyn and Julia grow and sell, sales outlets, and agritourism, among many other factors. Be sure to join this dynamic duo for a full day of educational programming and farm tours especially tailored for flower farmers who grow in the American Southeast, and learn in person how two successful flower farmers have worked with their microclimates to create a flourishing business. With a robust pollinator habitat on the farm, Adrianne will cover the processes and practices associated with establishing, growing, and managing native pollinator fields, including a grant application process.
