Educate. Unite. Support.

The ASCFG was created to educate, unite, and support commercial cut flower growers. It does this by providing production and marketing information; connecting members through events and communications; supporting floriculture research; and encouraging the purchase and use of locally grown flowers by the public. Its mission is to help growers produce high-quality floral material, and to foster and promote the local availability of that product.

The ASCFG Research Foundation

The ASCFG Research Foundation was formed in 2004 as a 501(c)(3) organization. This non-profit and tax-exempt status allows the Research Foundation to apply for grants and to raise money for larger research projects that would be conducted by universities. The Research Foundation is currently funded solely by ASCFG member donations and the Research Auction held most years at the ASCFG National Conference. The ASCFG Research Foundation supports a competitive grant program open to universities, governmental agencies, and other tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organizations.

What’s New

2024 Regional Conferences

The ASCFG will host seven Regional Conferences throughout North America during 2024. The purpose of these two day regional conferences is to celebrate and highlight local excellence and expertise, and to connect ASCFG members with other growers in their regional community. While each gathering will vary in content and format, and will be informed by close collaboration with each ASCFG Regional Director, all events will include a farm tour, educational speaker sessions, and plenty of time to make connections.

Ask an Expert

The Ask an Expert webinar series features ASCFG member experts who share their ideas, insights, and lessons learned on a specific topic. Driven by experience, these webinars provide a robust overview of the topic before segueing into an interactive question and answer period for attendees. Recordings are then made available in the exclusive Members Only Learning Portal at ascfgmembers.org
